  • Our website uses no tracking or advertising cookies by default. Optional analytics would only run after you agree.
  • We do not look through the files on your device. We access only what a repair needs.

Who we are

This website and the shop are run by Alvyntra (Proprietorship), trading as Alvyntra, 9A, 2nd School Lane, North Dum Dum, Kolkata, West Bengal 700065, India (“Alvyntra”, “we”, “us”). For the personal data described here, we are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), which means we decide why and how it is processed. “You” are the Data Principal, the person the data is about.

Contact us about privacy at info@alvyntra.com or +91 98765 43210, or write to the address above.

What personal data do we collect?

When you use the contact form

Your name, mobile number, email address (if you give one), the subject you choose and your message.

When you book a service

Your name, mobile number and email address; the device type, brand and the issue you select; your preferred date and time slot; whether you want pickup or drop, and if so the address; any message you add; and a record that you ticked the consent box.

When you bring in a device or buy from us

Details on your job slip or invoice: name, phone number, address if needed for delivery or invoicing, device make, model and serial number, the condition of the device when received, the fault reported, the work done, parts used and payment details (the method and amount, not your full card number). Business customers may also give us a company name and GSTIN. If you choose to give us a device password so that we can test it, we use it only for that job.

When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp

Your number or email address, and whatever you send us, such as photos of a damaged screen or your laptop’s model sticker.

When you browse the website

Like most websites, our server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and keep them for a short period.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, bank details or health information through the website. Please do not send them to us.

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have separately agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying “STOP” or telling us.

When you submit a form on this website, you tick a box to agree that we may use your details to respond to that request. Your consent covers only the purpose described next to the form. You do not have to give consent, but without your contact details we cannot reply or book a repair.

You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: email info@alvyntra.com, call or message us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before, and we may still keep records the law requires us to keep, such as tax invoices. If a repair is in progress, we will explain what withdrawing means for that job.

What about the data on my device?

Your laptop or desktop may hold photos, documents and accounts. We treat it as confidential. Our technicians open only what a repair needs, for example to test that the display, Windows or a program works afterwards. We do not copy, keep or share your files unless you ask us to, for example for a backup or data recovery. When we do copy data at your request, we delete our working copy once you confirm you have received it, or after 12 months if we cannot reach you.

Please back up your data before handing in any device. See our terms and warranty for more on data and repairs.

Who do we share your data with?

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only where needed:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and accounting software. They may process data only on our instructions.
  • Couriers or delivery partners, if you choose pickup, drop or delivery: only your name, phone number and address.
  • Manufacturers or suppliers, if a warranty claim or part order needs your device’s model or serial number.
  • Government bodies, courts or law enforcement, where the law requires it.

WhatsApp and phone calls

If you contact us on WhatsApp, the messages pass through WhatsApp, a service of Meta. Meta’s own privacy policy applies to how WhatsApp handles them. Choose phone or email if you prefer not to use WhatsApp.

Google Maps

Some pages show a Google Maps embed so you can find the shop. When the map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. The “Get Directions” buttons open Google Maps directly. If you prefer, use the written address instead.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, it is done as permitted under Indian law.

Do you use cookies or analytics?

By default, this website itself sets no cookies. Our forms are protected against spam without cookies: by a small image code (CAPTCHA) that is generated on our own server, and by automatic checks on our server. No outside CAPTCHA service is used.

We do not run advertising or tracking cookies. If we later add website analytics to understand which pages are useful, it will be switched off until you agree through a clear banner, and you will be able to change your choice at any time. This policy will be updated before that happens.

How long do you keep my data?

  • Enquiries and bookings that do not go ahead: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Job slips and repair records: for the warranty period (90 days on parts and labour) plus a reasonable period to handle any claim or dispute.
  • Invoices and accounting records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Server logs: a short period for security, then deleted.

When we no longer need data for its purpose, and the law does not require us to keep it, we erase it.

How do you keep my data secure?

We take reasonable security measures to protect personal data, including an encrypted (HTTPS) website, password-protected systems with access limited to staff who need it, and secure storage of paper job slips. No system is perfectly secure, but if a personal data breach happens we will act quickly to contain it and inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the law requires.

What are my rights?

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access information about the personal data we hold about you and how we process it, and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct, complete or update data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure of data we no longer need, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as explained above.
  • Grievance redressal: a response from us if you have a complaint about how we handle your data.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer (below). We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not give your data to someone else. We aim to respond within within 30 days.

The DPDP Act also expects Data Principals to give accurate information, not to impersonate anyone, and not to file false or frivolous complaints.

Children’s data

Our website and services are meant for adults. If a person under 18 needs a repair or a purchase, we ask that a parent or lawful guardian makes the booking and gives consent. We do not knowingly collect a child’s personal data without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, and we never track children or target advertising at them. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Who do I contact with a complaint?

Our Grievance Officer handles privacy questions, requests and complaints:

Store Manager, Alvyntra, Grievance Officer, Alvyntra
9A, 2nd School Lane, North Dum Dum, Kolkata, West Bengal 700065, India

Please tell us your name, how we can reach you and what your request is about. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India, as provided under the DPDP Act.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, the tools we use or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will always show the current version. If a change significantly affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
